WoW Upgrades – The item upgrader mod Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an Item Level Upgrade by 3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade item their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
The cost of upgrading will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item upgrade has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Item upgraders can be found at many locations including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting the latest recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur’s Gate II is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a particular item upgrader mod level for a particular armor slot, upgrading other items to that level will cost less even in the event that they are part of a different gear set.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests can only be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
Utilizing these new currencies isn’t too difficult, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade items process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose therefore it’s essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance it’s a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the best gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you’re planning to create. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
