4. Thule Shine

Thule is a brand famous for its unique and practical products, and the Shine stroller is no exception. It’s one of the lightest prams on the market and feels sturdy and solid in your hands despite its minimalist design. It’s also extremely versatile and can be used as a bassinet, or Newborn Inlay from birth, and also as a Maxi Cosi car adapter.

In contrast to other lightweight strollers, the Shine does not disappoint when it comes to cargo storage either. The 22-pound capacity of the Shine allows you to carry everything you require on day trips without worrying about putting everything in the back.

The wheels are also very easy to attach to the frame. They clip on straight from the box. If you buy the bassinet that comes with it the frame snaps on with ease too and even has carry handles like those of a Moses basket. When you’re done with it, the pram folds down to an elegant and compact size so you can fit it into the smallest car.

Thule’s canopy air purifier is also a highlight. It has a built-in air filter that eliminates dust, bacteria, viruses, pollen and other nasty things. The company claims that it can clean 150 litres per minute of air and is able to be connected to an app that displays the local air quality.

The only issue is the price. Although it is less than some other 2 in 1 pushchair pram in 1 prams it still costs over PS1,000 for the entire kit. That’s especially hard to swallow when you have alternatives such as the Thule Spring which is lighter and more compact and costs half as much.

The durability of Thule’s strollers is legendary and I have seen them put to the test at the Thule Hillerstop headquarters in Sweden. They drop prams from a height, crash them down slopes, and then run them over bumpy tracks in the snow to test their durability and endurance. They certainly look nice!
