World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading
The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item upgrader‘s gear rating up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory and heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance, a perfectly roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons aren’t changed much after an upgrade and aren’t worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue to increase until it is required to use a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is generally a positive thing, but it can also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a specific build (Whistant’s shield for FB sorcs, for instance) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll.
Armor items can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. This can increase the base defense of a chest or helm while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain upon upgrading along with the relative value of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn’t mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item menu, using the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon’s levels or bind to account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make it easier to navigate through tough terrain. Generally speaking, the more defense your character has, the more value you can get from each point of health therefore it is important to improve your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in most cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive an entire raid with a few of your friends.
Be aware that armor can’t be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you’ll want to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you’re a Warrior or Spell Power if you’re Mage. It’s also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you’ll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant’s mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town and you will be able to gain some benefits to your armor. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you’ll be using to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it’s beneficial to have some upgrades to the helmets and chest armor so that you can get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquid substances that, when consumed provide the user with an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. In addition the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. The price of upgrades will vary based on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item upgrader‘s Mark Level and Rarity.

The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but isn’t essential as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons and armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.
Upgrade vendors are located at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade items bonus.
When the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded between players which makes them a good alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded then their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also consider their class’s preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should be focusing on upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying a new one.
