The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you’re on a budget and don’t need an extra stroller that can be used as car seat carriers. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.
It’s easy to push and it feels solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It’s also a breeze to fold.
1. Babyzen YOYO2
The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version has independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to perfectly traverse all terrains and types’.
The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack are combined to create a stylish pushchair with a subtle elegant design. The frame’s base weight is less than a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it from the box using just one hand.
The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30 degrees which helps prevent the stains that result from smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be converted to a stroller by 6 months by using the YOYO connect to additional chassis.
2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore
The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their journey. The wagon can fit two or three children ranging from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a large storage basket that will hold all your needs while on the go.
The Xplore also comes with two canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long trips or naps.
The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, but it doesn’t bend as much as some other wagons we test. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors, and it does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and fits through narrow doors of 28 inches.
3. Delta Children LX Side by Side
This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a second stroller that is affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, which means it’s lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store in a trunk for your car. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.
It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested but is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the most compact we tested, with only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.
The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. But, it’s lacking some critical features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features for a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.
4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1
The Zelia is the most recent version of Maxi-Cosi’s pushchair range and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.
The seat can be reclined using one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to take their child in and out. Although it is narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without fuss.
The front wheels can be locked into forward positions or allow them to swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to swivel on our walk along the stony path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt slightly bumpier.
5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2
Baby Jogger is known for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great selection of 4-wheel strollers. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and fits in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.
It is heavier than the other strollers that we test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels sturdy and well-made. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it’s easy to move, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.
Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers’ faces.
It doesn’t have a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that’s big enough to hold a changing bag as well as plenty of food items. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn’t great – it’s not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.
The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each other. They can also be set to face the parents. This can help to reduce sibling disputes about who sits with dad and mom. 8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

It is easy to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The manual is simple to understand and includes multiple languages.
