World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the item’s current level. The cost increases as the item level upgrade level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the item to which it is applied (for examplefor example ‘Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item’s Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they’re uncertain of how much they’ll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you’ll need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is also known as “upping”. Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you’ll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor will receive the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may become more expensive even if you don’t require it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item upgrader to be traded for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it’s not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin’s Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment–armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment’s requirements.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more money on materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained, such as the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance that it will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance an item upgrade that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance–whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
