Leclerc Influencer
The Leclerc influencer is a fantastic option for those who fly. Its sleek design, auto-folding feature and cabin approved dimensions make it a great choice. Its folded (and unfurled) width is 47cm. It is slightly bigger than the IATA standard 45cm. However, it still is in compliance with the regulations for hand luggage of airlines. It can be stored in overhead lockers on flights (subject to approval by the airline). We found it easy to clean with just a wipe down, and there were a variety of additional items available like footmuffs, nappy and buggy organiser bags that fit to the handles and hoods, providing UV50and protection.
It’s easy to maneuver up and down stairs, and it can fit through tight spaces such as narrow streets, shops, and Jane’s terrace house. The bumper bar also functions as handle. There’s also a huge brake that’s flip-flop-compatible and comes with a colour-coded indicator. The basket is smaller than the other models, but it will still hold a large changing bag. There are also additional trays to store snacks, drinks and toys.
It is suitable for babies from birth. The adaptors are available separately to use it in conjunction with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot. For older children there’s a backrest that flattens, making it ideal for extended nap times or walks. The smart magnetic 5-point harness is easy to use. Joie Evalite Duo
The British brand Joie is on a mission to “share happiness with parents who are expecting” by creating pushchairs that are “functional, stylish and innovative”. The Evalite Duo is their latest twin buggy. It is designed to carry two children at the same time in contrast to the slightly heavier Aire Twin. It also offers stadium seating that lets both children see the world around them.
The Evalite Duo weighs just under 10kg, making it one of the lightest strollers for siblings on the market. It’s suitable for babies from birth and is compatible with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It’s easy to fold or lift, drive, and ride. The clever frame expands to accommodate a second child seat.
Out ‘n’ about says the Evalite Duo’s one-handed folding is a highlight. They were amazed by the speed and ease with which the Evalite Duo comes together. They did notice that it was more difficult to navigate bumps and rough surfaces in comparison to other models.
The front seat doesn’t fully recline, and parents needed to use their hands to lower it. This is something they would prefer to avoid when traveling with young children. Nonetheless, they say the Evalite Duo is a great pushchair that could be perfect with some tweaks. They appreciate that it’s compact and compact when folded!
iCandy Peach
iCandy Peach, a sophisticated tandem double buggy buggy, offers parents the choices they need. It is compatible with many car seats, and folds easily using a one-click mechanism. It comes with a range of additional features, such as raincovers and liners. Rival brands charge separately for these.
iCandy Peach is a favorite for parents who are fashion-conscious, thanks to its stylish and modern jersey fabrics. This new 2022 Peach is updated with minor tweaks to enhance the performance and function without sacrificing aesthetics.
The inclusion of a ride-on board makes this the ideal option for twins. It’s also slightly smaller than the previous Peach models, but that doesn’t stop it from providing all the space you could require for your kids.
This is a great double stroller for those who want something sleek and versatile. You can use it as a single pram right from birth and then buy an additional kit to transform it into a twin buggy. It comes with an enormous basket and five reclining positions to ensure maximum comfort for your child. It also has a single-handed fold as well as an integrated carry strap. The only issue is that it could be a little bulky to store when you aren’t using it, especially as it folds into two pieces rather than one.
iCandy Orange
This is the best twin buggy on the market. The seats can be fitted with liners and footmuffs to keep your children warm during cold winter months. The carrycot can be inserted into the Orange chassis easily with gates that open and is spacious and comfortable. Orange chassis allows for 30 combinations of the seat and carrycot.
The wheels are optimised to take on rough and concrete ground and there’s a hefty shopping basket beneath that is ideal for shopping at large supermarkets. This pushchair feels smooth to drive, with a light feel, and the rounded pedal brake is easy to use (but not flip-flop friendly). The latch that holds it folded needs two hands to unlock. When it’s collapsed the front wheels fold into the basket and the chassis can stand.
The Orange is best suited for style-conscious parents who have children or toddlers and want a stroller that will be able to grow with their children. It’s also a good option for parents who are expecting an additional child in the not-too-distant future who require a flexible double car seat stroller pushchair. The iCandy Orange is not cheap however it’s a versatile product that it will last for several years and will offer a decent resale value as well. It can also be fitted with a buggy board which should reduce the amount of siblings fighting over seats.
Mountain Buggy Duet
The company was founded by a New Zealander, Mountain Buggy (part of the Mokopuna group that also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger) is the first brand that focuses on all-terrain double pushchairs. The Duet twin stroller with car seats stroller is easily maneuvered around narrow aisles for shopping and through the doors. It is among the smallest, fully-featured amazon double stroller buggies in the market and has won numerous awards, including the 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and the 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.
The seats are wide enough to let children of varying ages to sit comfortably together. They also have an independent reclining so that kids can pick their preferred seating position. The large canopies feature solar visors that flip out and the storage basket is spacious with plenty of space. It is compatible with nearly all brands and comes with two infant car seat adapters with the purchase of car seats.
The only drawback is the weight. At 32.4 lbs, it is heavy to lift in and out of the trunk and might be difficult for Grandma to manage. And, it is more expensive than the majority of side-by-side double buggies. It is built to last, and has a lot of advantages for the money. It is a good choice for urban parents who want to avoid lugging a heavy stroller around. The padding of the harnesses, the 5-point buckle, and straps with padding make it safe for infants.
Bugaboo Donkey Twin
The Bugaboo Donkey Twin has a elegant, functional design. It’s a high-quality product but it’s not without imperfections.
For one, it offers only a handful of extra features for the kids and the parents. The only thing that is offered by the small side bin is that it is only available when one seat in the car is connected. There aren’t any parent trays cup holders, cups or pockets for accessories, and this could be problematic for long journeys.
The seats don’t recline to a completely flat position, and the gap between them is quite large which is why our 5 year old was unable to lie back comfortably. That’s a shame considering it’s a top-of-the-line model.
It’s simple to maneuver and the swivel-wheel is ideal for climbing up stairs and slopes. It’s also slim enough to fit into most doorways, and it folds easily for storage and transportation. Plus, it can be switched back to mono mode with just three clicks if you require more space or need to get away. It can even accommodate a third kid with the comfort wheeled boards if you’re required to. If you’re looking to save money you can find cheaper alternatives. It’s worth it when you’re a big fan of the brand and have the money to spend.
