World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will gain an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The Best item upgrader must be at least upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the item to which it is applied (for instancefor example “Canthan Armor Insignia’ becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item’s Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A ‘boost upgrade’ can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they’re uncertain of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For example that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The item upgrading system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as “upping”. Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new Best item upgrade of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can increase in price even if you don’t require it.
Upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it’s not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste lots of resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin’s Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment–armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to go back to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player may still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.
Premium items might require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses listed above.
