First, place the key fob on a clean work surface with the logo side facing upward. Locate the button that releases it, insert an object between the fob and the cover, and pull up carefully.

Locking the Doors

The cover will then come open and slide off, revealing the manual key blade inside! If you are unable to locate the button, search the now-uncovered manual key access for a lever or slot.

Closing the Windows

One of the lesser-known features that is not visible on Volvo key fobs is that they allow you to close all windows immediately when you use the fobs. This is a great feature when trying to squeeze into a cramped parking spot, or even just to get fresh air in the cabin while driving.

Press and hold the unlocking button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower all the windows, and also the sunroof, if your car comes with one. When you’re finished with the vehicle, you can close all windows by pressing the lock key for four seconds.

You can also use your key fob to activate your car’s panic alarm. This will emit an intense, enthralling roar that could frighten away thieves and allow you to return home in peace after a night out. This feature is helpful if you reside in an area that is dangerous, or want to protect your family while away from home.

Turning off the Alarm
