Joseph Williams, the son of John Williams, the legendary film composer and actress Barbara Ruick from 1950s, takes over Fergie Frederiksen as lead vocalist. Joseph is more natural as a frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a much needed boost.
In 1999, the band released Mindfields and begins an extensive tour across the globe. After a few months in Europe they head to Japan where the shows are sold out.
