You would expect a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock group, but it is actually a relatively straightforward rock group. Line-up
Turn Back, the band’s third studio album is a return to a classic sextet structure and a more consistent, stronger album with a sharper edge. The edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the growth of the band. Drummer Bobby Kimball’s increased virtuosity was reflected by the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had grown more confident and 토토사이트 mature. David Paich’s keyboard work was also sharper, more complex and less akin to previous efforts.
After touring to promote their album, the group recorded their Amsterdam live performance which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. The group released a brand new studio album a few months later, and went on a world tour promote it. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich & Lukather began exploring old tapes and 안전놀이터 demos to find songs that had never been recorded prior to. It was released as a double-album titled Then and Now in 2001. It was the first album by the band not to feature any single song that had the word “A” in its title. It also included one previously unreleased track, “Kari-Anne”.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band also featured a guest appearance by singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
