Line-up

Turn Back, the band’s third studio album is an attempt to return to the classic sextet structure, and an even more consistent and powerful effort with a harder edge. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group and included drummer Bobby Kimball’s greater ability on the drums and a more confident, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich’s keyboard skills were also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on previous recordings.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded their Amsterdam live performance which was released on Eagle Records as a 2-CD set entitled Falling In Between.
