It is an entire travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair as well as a choice of group 0+ car seat, so you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It’s easy to see why it’s earned the highest praise from customers. It’s extremely light – the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg – and it’s also extremely simple to build. I was able to get it up and running in under five minutes – which is amazing considering that it includes attaching fabric for the carrycot.

The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to use. The basket is spacious with plenty of space, and I find it nice that the handle bar comes with a pocket to keep your phone and keys secure.

The only downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. It’s covered in a soft, comfy leather-like material, and is easy to clean.

Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a little more difficult to navigate than its predecessor and the locking system isn’t as user-friendly (requiring two buttons on the opposite side of the push bar). The handlebar is higher than some competitors and therefore it may not be suitable for parents with shorter arms but overall, it’s a sturdy and versatile stroller worthy of consideration for families with active kids.

Bugaboo Fox 5

The idea behind it is to create the ultimate all-terrain pushchair Bugaboo’s latest Fox 5 promises to do everything. Its unique chassis comes with a shorter wheel width which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. The large puncture-proof wheels – either 22cm or a bit larger are able to handle different terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be closed or opened to let more air in when needed. It’s a little larger than other pushchairs, but it doesn’t feel bulky or heavy when you’re pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt at ease using it in busy city streets. One of the advantages is that it incorporates accessory points, which means you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags, and even a tray for snacks. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, though it isn’t particularly waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more legroom. The bassinet took 20 minutes to put together and it took the same amount of time to transform it into a seat.
