Newest iRobot Roomba Robots
The latest models from iRobot can track your home and utilize their cameras to identify small obstacles like shoes, cords, and pet debris. The Combo j9+ also automatically fills its own water tank whenever you take it for a mopping session which is a step up from earlier models that required you to manually empty and fill the tanks manually.
The Roomba s9+
The s9+ is a high-end robotic vacuum that can also be used as mop. Its suite is built into a sleek new design. It cleans around corners and along edges. It also maps your home and self-empties.
The s9+ uses powerful, high-efficiency motors that offer more than 40 times the suction3 of earlier irobot models. It also has the ability to detect carpeted areas, which triggers it to use Power Boost for deeper cleaning. Its automatic dirt detection is extremely accurate and can even differentiate tiny toys from a dust speck to prevent it from becoming stuck.
Once the s9+ gets full of junk, it returns to its dock and empty itself by sucking the contents into its huge bin. This process, which sounds as if the jet engine is taking off, takes only a few moments and can be scheduled with the Irobot app.
A brand new navigational feature called Imprint Smart Mapping, is what sets this robot apart from its rivals. This innovative technology makes use of sensors to scan the room digitally up to 25 times per second. It allows it to map your house more accurately and avoid bumping against obstacles. The s9+ also comes with PerfectEdge technology that allows it to hew close to complex edges, such as the kitchen cabinets that were renovated by Ikea in my house.
The s9+ can connect to WiFi quickly and can be set up quickly, although it could take a few attempts before the app finds your home. Once it has the home page and dashboard are simple to navigate. You can choose from a variety of functions such as a detailed schedule and mopping preferences.
The s9+ is able to be set to make one or two passes, or you can select “room-size clean,” which balances room size and time to make the job go faster. You can also alter the suction power, ranging from Eco to Turbo. It can also be programmed to vacuum and then mop or to stop mopping process before beginning the vacuuming sequence. Unlike other robot vacuums, the s9+’s bin is removable to allow quick emptying and washing.
The Roomba 675
The Roomba 675 is one of the latest robots from irobot roomba models. It is a budget model that is designed to clean your floors and provide wifi connectivity. This makes it stand apart from other models on this list and is an excellent option for people who are looking for a reliable robot cleaner but don’t want spend too much money.

In our lab tests, the 675 achieved an overall pickup score of 89.7 This was higher than the soft RoboVac G30 and slightly below the iLife V3s Pro (94) and the Shark Ion R85 (96). It was successful in picking up the majority of the stuff we threw at test areas, but struggled with larger debris, such as carpet with a low pile.
Like the Roomba 900 series, it has dual multi-surface brushes that collect dust and debris from hard floors and carpeting and an additional brush that sweeps edges and corners. It can automatically adjust to different surfaces, and comes with cliff sensors that stop it from falling down the stairs. It can also detect dirtier surfaces and clean them more thoroughly.
It has a slim profile and can be tucked under the majority of furniture. It is also able to maneuver around the edges of rooms and into corners, where a full-size vacuum would struggle. The 675 also has a rechargeable battery and is compatible with the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule and begin cleaning sessions. It can also learn about your habits with cleaning and provide schedule suggestions based on these preferences. It is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
