WoW Upgrades – The item upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade item also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless the item is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with a button, which will display an item’s preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item Level upgrade has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur’s Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require various methods that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true even if the items come from a different set of equipment.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be by doing outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn’t difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. For example, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won’t require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests only have one purpose and it’s crucial to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance it’s a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the best equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
