Best Twin Stroller For Newborns
If you’re expecting twins or have two children who are similar in age, a double car seat stroller stroller is a must. The top double buggy side by side strollers provide different ways to ride your children, including side by side seating and an attachment for boards.
The Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono is Lauren Ro’s favourite stroller. It can be adapted to the needs of your family seamlessly. It can fit two infant car seats and the toddler seat. This makes it a great choice for twins.
Bugaboo Donkey
This is the best double stroller for families looking for a stylish, side-by-side double stroller. It’s a more bulkier than other Bugaboo models, but it feels solid and built to last. It has a handlebar that can be adjusted to retract and extend easily. It also has a fantastic reach, so it’s easy for my husband of 6’1 to push, even when fully loaded.
Seats are large and can be set up in a way that one child is on top of the other or so that children are facing each one. They can also recline in a different way from each other. The canopies are huge, covering both seat fabrics should you wish. However, they don’t provide much ventilation so they can feel like a small oven on hot days. There’s no peek-a-boo window to see your children.
This stroller features a unique feature that lets it expand with you and your family. It can go from a single Double Stroller seat (Mono Mode) to a double side by side stroller. This is the only double stroller convertible to do this. It can also be used with another bassinet or car seat for newborns.
It is a breeze to use on smooth surfaces, and it is able to handle slopes and stairs well. The only downside is that it could be difficult to navigate through busy restaurants and shops. It can also be difficult to fold, particularly when seats are tucked away. It is still fairly compact though, and it can be tucked away easily.
There is an extra storage bin that can be tucked away on the frame to the front seat in mono mode. This is useful for groceries and other things. The main storage basket beneath the seats is big and can accommodate up to 100 pounds. This is more than any other stroller we have listed!
Uppababy Vista v2
This is one of the most popular twin strollers for newly borns. It can be used straight from the box as a double stroller, and is compatible with a variety of bassies and infant car seats. It can even accommodate two bassinets or infant car seats at the same time if you purchase the Vista Upper and Lower adapters.
The V2 is a more refined version of the original Vista. The toddler seat is half an inch taller, the footrest has more space, and the canopy is equipped with an extender for the fabric that zips out, which adds extra coverage. The harness has been updated in that it does not require re-threading. This makes it much easier single to double buggy adjust.
The stroller has reasonably large wheels (8” in front and 11.5” in the back) with strong suspension, which means it can easily handle any terrain. The rubber wheels on the front are great for navigating rocks and gravel, while the tread on the rear wheels is better for sidewalks or grassy hills.
A child’s bicycle can be connected to the front of a stroller. This is a great option for parents who do not want to use a car seat. And if you have an older child who is getting ready to stand, the Vista can accommodate an additional child with its piggyback ride along board accessory.
Vista Vista is simple to use and to install. However, it takes some time to remove all the protective packaging. The instructions are simple to follow, and there’s an YouTube video if you need assistance in understanding the instructions.
Thule Urban Glide 3
The Thule Urban Glide 3 is the most recent version of this popular all-terrain stroller and it’s designed to appeal to modern families who are a fan of style, sustainability, and adventure. It features exciting upgrades, including a built-in leg rest and a reclined seat that offers unbeatable comfort for children during long jogs and walks. Its sleek and agile design has also been enhanced to allow for better mobility.
It is incredibly light, making it simple to drive and swift to accelerate on the road. Its suspension is able to handle sudden changes in surface (such as grass turning to pavement) and the large tires are able to withstand any terrain. It is able to climb kerbs with no difficulty and can turn in tight spaces like streets in cities with aplomb. Even narrow sidewalks and parks with lots of people are no problem.
While the new Urban Glide 3 offers superior performance, it retains the classic Thule features that make it an ideal jogger for parents. This includes an oversized canopy that offers an excellent sun protection as well as a convenient peekaboo window a high-quality harness system, and an integrated handbrake with a perfectly in-tuned lever. It also comes with plenty of storage, with in-seat storage pockets as well as a large cargo basket that can hold up to 15 pounds, with a zip-top cover.
This Thule Jogger also has a bassinet, for strolling babies, and a double version that can accommodate two kids. It is compatible with car seat adapters, so you can use the infant carrier of your child, and it has a quick fold that is one-handed, making it easy to transport and to store. It’s also a green choice, using solution-dyed fabrics in its black color options to minimize water consumption.
Cortina Together
Cortina Together is designed for families that are growing and offers parents various seating options to accommodate the needs and preferences of every child. The double stroller’s two standard seats feature reclining backrests and independent canopies. They’re also designed to take one of Chicco’s top-rated KeyFit or KeyFit 30 infant car seats in the front and rear seat (car seat sold separately) using the exclusive click-in attachment without the need for additional straps and bars, as other models that require.
A large, zip-up basket in the rear offers ample storage space for the equipment. The handle is cushioned to allow for dad or mom. The suspension and wheels of the tandem double stroller offer smooth riding across all terrains. The 1-touch linked rear breaks when activated by a toe-tap, making stopping a breeze.
In our Strollers & Multiples laboratory tests, Cortina Together received high scores for its ease of use. This is based on how easy it is to fold and set up the stroller and to adjust the safety harness, open and close the snack tray, disengage and engage the brakes, then lift and carry the stroller as if putting it in a trunk, and for double strollers compatible install and remove the infant car seat.
There are some downsides to this model, however. First, it’s heavy. It weighs 36.6 pounds when fully loaded and is closer to the extreme end of our metric than the average for this category of strollers. It also has a limited view from the back seat when a car seat is installed. Additionally, the front tray release is sometimes difficult to operate, particularly after prolonged use. Even with these issues, we still believe this is a fantastic double stroller that will be able to keep up with your family for many years to come.
Jeep Double Stroller
Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller – a lightweight, affordable stroller that is ideal for families with two children. Its front swivel-lock wheels rotate to maneuver on flat surfaces, and lock for stability on bumpy surfaces making it easy to go where you’d like to go. It has a compact folding umbrella that can be closed in just a few seconds. It also stands upright to make moving it easier. Its aluminum frame that is lightweight, foam handle and carrying strap makes it one of the most easy double strollers to lift in our tests.
This stroller has seating that reclines independently and foot rests to provide the best comfort for both children. Its large canopy can provide UPF 50 sun protection, and it comes with a peekaboo view window for easy monitoring. We wish the canopy was vented to let in more airflow though. We also didn’t like that the cup holder sits extremely high on the frame, meaning you’ll have to bend down to access it.
In our tipping test the Jeep was able to tip over at a 39-degree angle which is higher than average for a double stroller. It’s also heavier than our top picks, but it does provide a decent amount of storage space for the cost and has ample padding in the seats as well as the handle.
This stroller is multi-functional and offers three modes. It can be used as a cart (for stuff), jogger mode (with two safety belts with five points for kids) as well as a car seat mode. It can be used with one infant car seat, however, pediatricians suggest waiting until your child is 6 months old before jogging with them, and one year old before letting them go on rough terrain. It is available in black with a limited warranty.
