You can also use a washer, spacer or another sealant to make an even tighter fit. A screw cap can stop debris and water from entering the handle, causing damage.

Once you’ve found the correct replacement, it’s simple to install. Remove any trim screws that are rusted and compare the new operating lever to the old to ensure that they match.
