In 2021, Nuna gave the TAVO an updated harness with Magnetech Secure Snap, which makes it easy and secure to fasten with just one hand.
While the TAVO is a great option for parents looking to save money, it’s not the ideal choice when you’re looking to use a bassinet or an reversible seat. It can only be used in one way and isn’t able to allow for a car seat or other accessories such as the bassinet stand and cup holder, rain cover or a tray for snacks for children. The MIXX Next is the better alternative for those looking for more space because it can accommodate these accessories.
The TAVO comes with an inbuilt suspension system called Free-flex, which lets you travel far or near and even transport your child from the car to the curb. The Cybex Gazelle is lightweight and easy to maneuver which makes it perfect for parents who enjoy exploring. It also has a huge storage basket under it and plenty of attachments to allow parents to take their light shopping or groceries with them. It’s a bit more expensive than some other two-in-one prams but it’s worth the cost as the quality and performance of this model is top-notch.
This stroller comes with a one-pull safety harness that makes it simple to secure your child into the seat. It also has a sun canopy that can be removed with peek-a-boo and XXL panels. It also has a tray for parents to store snacks, drinks and phones. The telescopic handlebar adjusts to accommodate the height of parents and the brake is easily accessible, making it safe for children to operate.
Our mom tester Sophie from London used this stroller with two daughters aged 5 and 10 months. We wouldn’t recommend using this stroller off-road or on stairs, however it does have a great suspension to limit bumps for the passengers.
While the Roo+ has a large under-seat storage compartment, it’s difficult to access without removing the infant car seats. This is a problem twin frame strollers commonly face, but Joovy has an baby carrier that fits under the seat to help solve this issue.
Unlike top-scoring strollers, the Roo+ doesn’t have a self-standing fold or cup holders. This is a small sacrifice for car seat compatibility and storage capabilities however we’d like to have more flexibility from our strollers. The flexibility of its seating configuration is a plus, though it allows parents to place their children’s infant car seats facing in opposite directions or in the same direction, to better suit their requirements.
5. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side
Delta Children LX Side by Side scored high in terms of weight and size folded. It is the best value double umbrella stroller in our review. It also scores well for maneuverability, which is an important attribute for parents looking for a stroller for travel that can fit into smaller spaces. The Delta is a basic stroller and does not have the features other strollers we have tested like a large storage basket or a wide recline. However, it’s a great option for families on a tight budget and for those who need a secondary stroller for occasional use, like going to the zoo for a day.
The LX Side by Side is a lightweight stroller that is easy to push and turn. Its compact frame, swivel wheels at the front and padded shoulder pad ensure a smooth ride. The multi-position reclining seats and cup holders for parents ensure that passengers are comfortable.
It also comes with a large canopy with a European style that provides shade from the sun as well as some protection against light winds. It also has two storage bags and an all-around harness with five points for security.
The Delta took less than three minutes to assemble it was the fastest time in our test group. The manual is fairly basic and doesn’t require any tools for assembly. It is one of the lighter products in our test group. It is able to fold flat, making it easy to lift and carry.
