With Bentley’s 100th anniversary coming up next year, the Mulliner division is celebrating its founder with a special edition Mulsanne. It pays homage to the company’s founder, W.O. Bentley and includes a piece of one of his automobiles.
The model is purchased with a regular Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed or Mulsanne Long Wheelbase. It was inspired by a 1930 8 Litre Bentley owned by W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the interior. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet has a display with a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft that is displayed inside.
W.O. is emblazoned in a B-shaped photoetched air vent on the chrome application that runs across the back of the vehicle. The signature of the owner front grille, a front grille that is modeled after the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and a chrome-colored application that wraps around the lower spoilers left and right. The front grille has a unique design, with an aluminum shell that replaces the body-color mesh of Mulsanne. It also has the Flying B Logo.
A keybox engraved with the Bentley wings can hold two keys, and comes with a black flock lining. individual key pouches are available to complement or contrast the key box. The set includes a custom 1:18 scale model of the 8 Litre and flying paperweight as well as an unpublished brochure with previously unpublished images of the original 1930s 8 Litre.
